Episode 2 Summary: “Episode #1.2”
In this episode, Ha Woo-shin deepens his covert mission to uncover the truth behind his father's wrongful conviction. He suspects that the Adamas, a diamond-encrusted arrowhead, was the actual murder weapon. To investigate further, Woo-shin attempts to gain the trust of Choi Tae-sung, the mansion's chief of security. However, Tae-sung remains skeptical and confronts Woo-shin at gunpoint in the woods. This tense encounter is witnessed by Eun Hye-soo, the chairman’s daughter-in-law, leading to increased scrutiny from the household staff.
Back at the mansion, Ms. Kwon, the head housekeeper, grows increasingly suspicious of Woo-shin's activities. She initiates an investigation into his background, including obtaining his medical records, but finds no concrete evidence against him. Despite her efforts, Chairman Kwon dismisses her concerns, believing Woo-shin's presence might be beneficial.
Meanwhile, Song Soo-hyun, Woo-shin's twin brother and a prosecutor, continues his own investigation into their father's case. He meets with Seo Hee, a journalist who provides him with information suggesting that the original trial was manipulated. Their collaboration hints at a deeper conspiracy involving powerful figures.
