Inglourious Basterds – Short Review

Directed by Quentin Tarantino, Inglourious Basterds is a World War II film with Tarantino’s unique mix of dark humor, intense dialogue, and alternate history.


The story takes place during World War II and follows two main plotlines. One centers on Lt. Aldo Raine (played by Brad Pitt), who leads a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as the “Basterds.” Their mission is to hunt and eliminate Nazi leaders.


The other story follows Shosanna Dreyfus, a Jewish woman who survived a Nazi massacre and later plans her own revenge against the Nazi leadership.

The film also features a famous villain, Hans Landa, played by Christoph Waltz, whose performance won an Academy Award.
