The story follows Captain Jack Sparrow, who discovers he owes a blood debt to the terrifying sea captain Davy Jones, the ruler of the ghostly ship Flying Dutchman. As the debt comes due, Jack must find a way to escape eternal servitude while Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann become entangled in the dangerous adventure.
